Frequently Asked Questions

How quickly will I get my animation?

We can produce a video for just about any deadline, but our recommended non-rush process takes about 20 business days from start to finish.

We need a video tomorrow! Can you help?

You bet. We are proud of our ability to work the magic that gets you what you need.

Rush projects compress the labor of a multi-week process into as few as 12 hours, so the cost of a rush project will be affected accordingly to make that magic happen.

And if you’re not in a rush? Great. A non-rush process means we have more time to get everything ironed out just right — there’s no reason to rush a video if it’s not necessary.

What styles do you offer?

Our styles include whiteboard, 2D, 3D, character and stop-motion animation. Interested in something else? Not sure how to describe it? Give us a call.

How much will my animation cost?

Pricing is determined by your video’s length (for example, three minutes) and deadline (for example, one month from today). Give us a call, and we’ll be happy to provide a quote.

Who makes these things?

We do! Your animation is created in-house by our team of expert writers, animators, illustrators, editors, and project leads. You’ll have one primary contact for the project, but many others work behind the scenes to bring you each draft.

You’re not shipping this production overseas, right?

Nope, we are not. Our main offices are in Minneapolis, MN, and Baltimore, MD, but we have a few other staff scattered across the United States and even all the way up in Ontario.

How can I pay?

We accept payment by credit card, check, and EFT. Payment details will be on your invoice, but if you have questions, give us a call at 202-747-0404.

How many revisions do I get?

Our standard process includes three scripting revision cycles and three animation revision cycles. Additional revisions will be billed at an hourly rate (although clients rarely request this because our process is efficient, effective, and well tested).

Do you have any experience in my particular industry?

Quite possibly. We’ve had the pleasure of working with all sorts of people and organizations. Check out our different industry case studies to see some sample clients and creations.
That being said, it actually can be an advantage if we don’t know much about your industry. As laypersons, we’re able to distill your message in terms that connect with a broad audience.

Do I have to provide my own script?

No! Scripting assistance is included with every project. During our kickoff call, we’ll ask you questions that get to the heart of your message. From there, we can draft a script from scratch.
If you’ve already got a working script that you like, even better — we can start there, too.

How can I use my animation?

Once complete, your video is yours to use however you like. Common uses include:

  • Website landing pages
  • Tradeshows
  • Conferences
  • Sales/demo meetings
  • Investor pitches
  • Included in your email signature
  • On the TV or elevator in your office
  • Television and YouTube advertising
  • Event kickoff

Can I provide my own voiceover?

We generally discourage clients from creating their own voiceover because the best quality recordings require specialized equipment and a trained professional voice actor. But we can work with you to find a voiceover artist with a voice and style that are similar to your own. If need be, we can work from your recordings.

My animation is awesome. How can I ever thank you?

Aw, shucks. We consider your positive words and referrals the highest compliment. We love tweets, testimonials, and introductions to people who might be in need of our services. More than 40% of our business comes to us through repeat or referral customers. We’re thrilled to be part of long-term collaborations around the world.
