PSAs and Informing about the Coronavirus Using Explainer Videos

It’s been a chaotic few weeks. Every day brings new developments and new crucial information related to the outbreak of COVID-19 and what we all can do. While it’s important to be aware and take the necessary precautions when it comes to social distancing, it is vital to listen to the right information, from informed sources. In a time of uncertainty, anything said in confidence or conjecture is often shared and retweeted into oblivion, but how can we be certain all claims are true?

We’ve compiled a list of explainer videos that convey what you need to know about COVID-19 in a matter of minutes.

A rundown about social distancing from Vox:

A very informative (and cute) look at how the disease works, and why quarantining is not fun, but important! From Kurzgesagt – In a Nutshell:

An explainer for kids from PBS

PSAs and explainer videos are a great way to get a message out during times of doubt and public uncertainty, but especially during a current event that requires immediate public action. It’s important to remember that these videos should not be made or shared with the intention of spreading fear, but with the intention of caring about your neighbors and their safety. Being an informed citizen makes you a safer citizen, and will put people in your community at ease.

While times like these show that information can change at the drop of a hat, is there a way your company can stay ahead of the curve and produce well-informed content that comes out in a timely manner? Let us know if there’s a way we can help.

Until then, we have a PSA of our own:
